Terms of Service

These terms set out the agreement between you ("the client") and Colin Phelps, trading as The Graphics Guy ("we", "us") when you commission design work from us. By engaging our services you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We provide graphic design services including logos, monograms, and brand identity packages. The exact scope of each project will be confirmed in writing (by email or quote) before work begins.

2. Quotes and payment

• Quoted prices are fixed for 30 days from the date of the quote.
• A deposit of 50% may be requested before work commences on larger projects.
• The balance is due on delivery of final files, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

3. Revisions

Each package includes a stated number of revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond what is included may be charged at an hourly rate agreed in advance. Revisions must relate to the original brief — significant changes in direction may be treated as a new project.

4. Delivery

We aim to deliver within the timeframe agreed at the start of the project. Delays caused by late feedback, missing brand assets, or changes from the client may extend the timeline. Final files are supplied in the formats listed on the relevant package (typically PNG, SVG, and print-ready PDF).

5. Ownership and copyright

• Once full payment is received, ownership of the final approved design transfers to you.
• We retain the right to display the completed work in our portfolio, on social media, and in case studies, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.
• Concepts not selected during the project remain our property and may be reused.
• The client is responsible for ensuring any text, imagery, or brand references supplied to us do not infringe third-party rights.

6. Cancellation and refunds

• You may cancel a project at any time by written notice.
• If work has already started, fees are payable pro-rata for work completed up to the date of cancellation.
• Deposits are non-refundable once design work has commenced.

7. Liability

We will take reasonable care to deliver design work that meets your brief. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you have paid for the project in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of business, profit, or reputation.

8. Confidentiality

We treat information you share about your business as confidential and will not pass it to third parties without your permission, except where required by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the date your project is confirmed will apply to that project. Any material changes will be flagged on the site.
